Fallen railway workers from the First World War
Over 180,000 railway workers from Great Britain and Ireland served in the armed forces during the First World War. Many lost their lives and this database has been created to provide a list of the men who died serving their country during the conflict.
Information has been collated from numerous sources including rolls of honour, war memorials, and railway company staff magazines. Much of the work hs been the result of painstaking work searching, checking sources and enhancing records by a team of dedicated volunteers.
