Aged 21, son of Catherine Ellen Springett of 46 Harsnett Rd, colchester and the late Edward George Springett. He enlisted in the 9th Lancers August 1914. He joined the GER in 1910. He had served for 9 months with the Hussars and with the Rifle Brigade. He was killed in action at Ypres.
