Notes

Aged 20, son of Horace and Ellen A. G. Smith of 261 Norwich Road, Ipswich. He joined the Great Eastern Railway April 1911, working there until he enlisted January 1916. Smith was taken as a prisoner of war in November of the same year, and died on his 20th birthday whilst still a POW in Germany.
