Age 22, son of Thomas and Jane Ann Simpson of 46 Wellington Street, Newcastle on Tyne. Killed in action. Had been wounded only four months previously. Joined the NER in June 1912. Served at Forth, Newcastle as trace-horse lad, holder-on, lad rulley-checker and goods porter.
