Aged 27, son of James William & Margaret Ann Reay of 34 Molineux Street, Heaton, Newcastle on Tyne. He joined the North Eastern Railway in June 1909 as a platform porter at Warkworth. He then went on to work temporarily at Newcastle Central and Hexham. Reay was killed in action.
