Age 27, the son of Andrew and Mary Potts of Troqueer, Kirkudbrighshire. He went to France with his regiment and was missing in action in September 1917. His memeorial is at Tyne Cot cemetery in Belgium and he is mentioned on Maxwelltown Burgh and Troqueer war memorials as well as Troqueer parish church memorial
