Age 26,son of John Proudfoot Parker & Catherine Parker of 7 Oregon Ave, Manor Park. He joined the GER in May 1908. He enlisted in the Civil Service Rifles (County of London Regiment, 15th Battalion) in 1915. He went to France in 1915 and was severely wounded at Vimy Ridge in June 1916. After convalescence he got a commission with a Home Battalion in 1918. He trained in trench mortar instruction, then held the position of O.C. No. 1 Trench Mortar Battery until the Armistice. He did not fully recover from his wounds and died after several operations in Devonport Military Hospital.
