Notes

Entered NER service in August 1913 as fireman on board the dredger David Dale. He had previosuly been a stoker in the Navy and was a member of the Royal Fleet Reserve. Recalled to the Colours on the outbreak of war. Was sent to the Dardanelles with the Expeditionary Force and was killed in action.
