Age 22. Son of William John and Florence Lousia Harris, of 34, Denmark St., Watford, Herts.<br />Harris joined the Company's services as a Clerk in the Audit Department at Euston, and two years later was transferred to the office of the Chief Engineer. Harris who had only joined the R.N.V.R in July, 1914, was called up for service at the outbreak of hostilities, and attached to the 'Drake' Division of the Naval Brigade. He saw service in the siege of Antwerp, and later Gallipoli, being invalided home with enteric fever, from the peninsula. After his recovery he was for some months in training in the South of England, and eventually went to France with a draft to the Naval Brigade. He was killed in action in France, from shell concussion.
