Notes

Age 19, son of Joseph and Maria Elizabeth Haddington of 21 Norfolk Street, Bishopthorpe Road, York. Reported missing on 6 December 1917 and presumed killed on that date. During the evacuation of Bourlon Wood he was wounded by machine gun fire and unable to walk. Nothing further was heard of him. Enlisted on 10 May 1916 and after training in Ireland went to France on 24 February 1917.
