Age 30, son of James & Barbara Grey of 45 Beaufort St, Gateshead. Had worked for the NER for 13 years. He enlisted on 5 September 1914 and left for the front on 19 April 1915. He was shot through the heart by a sniper while leaving one of the trenches near Ypres.
