Age 21, the son of Mrs Mary Gray of Maulesford, Wickham Market, Suffolk. Joined the GER as a permanent way labourer at Wickham Market in October 1914. Enlisted with the East Kent Regiment (The Buffs) on 24 April 1917. Killed in action.
