Notes

Aged 22, son of the late William Edward Henry and Hannah Gibson of Raby Cross, Bishop Auckland. He worked for the North Eastern Railway from 1908, up until he enlisted. Gibson died after he contracted malaria. The North Eastern Railway Magazine notes that Gibson fought with the Dragoon Guards, unlike the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website that stated he fought with the East Kent Regiment.
