Notes

Aged 25, son of John James & Dorothy Craggs of 6 Maidendale Cottages, Darlington. He joined the North Eastern Railway in 1907, working in various roles from lamp-lighter to goods porter. In June 1914 he was appointed goods porter at Darlington, but enlisted 2 months later into the N.E.R Battalion. Craggs died from wounds he sustained.
