Aged 20, son of William Henry Cecil of 26 Seven Kings Road, Seven Kings, Essex and the late Emily Eliza Cecil. He joined the regiment on 1st September 1914 and sailed to Malta on 4th September. He left for France on 2 January. He was killed in action at Neuve Chapelle. There is a letter of his and a group photo with him in it on page 162 (May 1915) of the Magazine.
