Aged 20, Bush worked for the Great Eastern Railway for just five months before he enlisted in April 1915. He was killed in action whilst stationed in France. He is named 'Arthur Edward' in the Great Eastern Railway Magazine, but recorded as 'Albert Edward' on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.
