Aged 22, son of Canon and Mrs. Brunwin-Hales, of St. Mary's Rectory, Colchester. He was born at Ardleigh, Essex and educated at Winchester. He sometimes assisted the staff of the GER magazine. His sister worked at a hospital in France. His brother Greville Oxley Brunwin-Hales also fell.
