Aged 37, husband of Mrs A Brown of Church St, Chipping Hill, Witham, Essex. He joined the GER on the 14th July 1900. He enlisted on the 27th August 1915. He died from wounds received in action in France. He left a widow and seven children. <br /><br />The GER Magazine reports his age as 38 when he died. It also reports that his regiment was the Essex Regiment, 12th Battalion.
