Notes

Aged 23, son of Charles William and Jane Branson of Wood Street, Woburn Sands, Buckinghamshire. He joined the Northampton Regiment in 1916, but was later transferred to the London Regiment when deployed to France. He saw service at the Somme, and was wounded near Arras. Branson was in the Canadian Hospital at Le Treport, and was later moved to the Seaford Convalescent Camp until October 1917. He left for Palestine, and was killed outside Jerusalem.
