Notes

Age 26, the son of Alfred and Elizabeth Mary Bone of East End, Wells, Norfolk. Joined the GER in July 1905 as a probationary clerk at Wells and later worked at Brandon, Cromer, North Walsham and Harling Road. Enlisted July 1915. He was awarded the MM (see GER Magazine October 1916 issue) and also the DCM. Died of wounds. GER Magazine has rank as Lance-Corporal.
