Age 33, son of John Bilton of Little Weighton, Hull; husband of Agnes Bilton of 6 Victoria Road, Beverley Road, Hull. Killed in action. Called to the colours at the outbreak of war as a reservist of the East Yorkshire Regiment. Wounded in late 1914 and returned to England. In January 1916 he was discharged from the Army, time expired and briefly rejoined the NER. On 18 August 1916 he resigned and joined up once more.
