Aged 23, son of Joseph James and Dinah Alexandra Best of Stillingfleet, York. He enlisted in November 1915, and was reported missing from November 28th 1917 in the North Eastern Railway Magazine. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission website notes his death as being 4 days earlier.
