Age 41, the husband of Laura Bell of 3 Dore Avenue, Manor Park, Essex. Joined the GER in March 1914. Enlisted in August 1915, and having served with the army previously was soon promoted to sergeant. He was about to take up a commission when he was killed at Bixschoote. The GER Magazine gives his age as 32.
