35 son of Francis Barrett; husband of Alice Barrett of 12 Adelaide Street, West Hartlepool.<br />Barrett joined the Navy when he was 16 years of age and served for a period of 12 years.<br />He then entered the Naval Reserve, and had been attached for 10 years, having taken part in the action in Heligoland Bight. He joined the N.E.R. in 1909.
