Age 19, son of John and Elizabeth Mary Bacon of 23 Fifth Avenue, Manor Park, London. He had been employed with the GER as a vanguard for three years and was later employed as a messenger at Goodman's Yard. His farther was a carman at Bishopsgate. His brother was in the Royal Engineers. He was killed at the battle of Jutland.
