Notes

Austin joined the GWR in January 1913, as a Fitter's Assisitant at Wormwood Scrubs Shops. He was subsequently transferred to the riveters' gang as riveter's assistant. He was killed in the action at Neuve Chappelle. <br /><br />The St Paul's Booklet lists his railway job as 'Riveter's Boy'.
