Aged 27, son of Alfred and Alice Ashton of 17 St Edmund's Place, Bury St Edmund's. He was born 3rd March 1888, son of signal fitter A. Ashton of Bury St Edmunds. He joined GER on the 14th February 1910. He was killed in action in France.
