Aged 20,son of Mr & Mrs A Aldies of Station House, Acle, Norwich. He was born at Holme Hale, Thetford, Norfolk. He was the son of the station master at Acle. He joined the GER in September 1913. He enlisted in June 1917, and was previously wounded twice. He died at a casualty clearing station in France from wounds.
