Notes
Aged 24, son of William Tunnage Abbott and Banny Abbott of 308 Thorold Rd, Ilford. Born at Stratford, London. He joined the Great Eastern Railway in May 1910, working there until he enlisted January 1916. Abbott volunteered with a few others to take a position in France, and whilst the mission was achieved, he was killed in the attempt. He was very popular, and was missed by his many friends.
