Notes

Age 22, son of Margaret Booth of 10 Dover St, West Hartlepool and the late William Booth, 1st Engineer of of HMS Tug Char. He joined the NER in 1911. The Char sank with all hands in the English Channel when it collided with a cargo steamer which was being inspected. Note that the NER Magazine has incorrectly captioned the photo as Mr W. Booth.
